When I lived in NYC, my favorite lunch was building my own salad from Just Salad! I even, for a time, had my own reusable Just Salad bowl (I’ve always loved their focus on sustainability). I was excited to be the first customer at Just Salad’s first location in Connecticut, which happens in to be Fairfield, about 15 minutes from me. Their menu has changed quite a bit (for the better) in the last few years.
It’s loaded with vegetarian and vegan meals and they have two plant-protein options, including beyond-meat chicken and sesame tofu. I went with the broccoli cheddar soup (which was so good and had such a great consistency and deep cheddar taste) and their spicy tofu crunch bowl (which consisted of shredded cabbage, arugula, regenerative brown rice, crispy onions, chopped almonds, roasted cauliflower, roasted balsamic mushrooms, organic sesame tofu, thai peanut sauce). The bowl was perfectly filling and had a great balance of flavors. I’m excited to go back and try more items!
